Nathan just found out that he can get his feet in his mouth. He likes to suck on anything that gets close to his mouth.

Nathan has discovered that he has feet. He loves to touch them all the time now.

Looking Out the Window

Nathan likes to sit in his Bumbo chair next to Randy while he is working from home and look out the window. On this day the window was open and the wind was blowing. The air was cool so Randy rapped Nathan in a blanket.

March of Dimes - Walk America 2007

Today was the March of Dimes five mile walk at White Rock Lake. We walked with the Medical Center of Plano team with fellow NICU patients, parents, family members and nurses. The weather was perfect for the event. We were able to visit with many of our NICU friends. We have all been on house arrest and this was most of the babies first outing. The March of Dimes had a Path of Hope honoring/remembering premature babies. Each sign had a photo of the baby, their birth date, weight and gestational age when born. We found Nathan's sign along the walk and were able to take it home as a souvenir. We had such a great time that we plan on joining the walk again next year. We want to thank everyone who sponsored us and made a donation to the March of Dimes.

Sippy Cup Practice

Nathan practiced with a sippy cup today. I filled it with water and let him play with it for a bit. He enjoyed chewing on the straw. He's not quite ready for a sippy cup, but the practice time is helping.

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny came to visit Nathan. He was so excited to see his basket full of goodies.

Dallas Arboretum

We went to the Dallas Arboretum for Dallas Blooms. This was Randy and Nathan's first visit. The weather was perfect. Everybody must have had the same idea because by the time we arrived around 11am the parking lot was full and we had to valet the car. The gardens didn't feel crowded at all. The flowers were beautiful. We packed a picnic lunch and found a shaded bench near the lake to eat. Nathan was able to sneak in a couple of cat naps while we were there, but he didn't want to miss a minute of it. There was so much to see that he tried to take it all in. He fell asleep in the car on the way home.
