4 Year Old Check Up

Nathan had his four year old check up this morning. He did great as usual. He weighs 33.2 pounds putting him in the 25 - 50 percentile. He gained 5 pounds from last year. He is 40 inches tall and in the 50 percentile. He grew 3.5 inches this year. Nathan is average weight and height for a 4 year old. He has finally all caught up.

Nathan also got his 4 year old vaccinations on this visit or ouchies as Nathan calls them. He will now be ready to start school tomorrow.

2 Year Check Up

Nathan visited his doctor for his 2 year check up. Nathan weighs 23.8 pounds, which puts him in the 10 percentile. He is 34 inches tall and in the 50 percentile. That means that Nathan is now average height for a two year old. Way to grow, Nathan!

Nathan was diagnosed with "Toddler Tummy". That just means that Nathan's body does not digest sugar very well. His doctor said no more juice for Nathan and to limit his sugar intake. We have already noticed a difference with Nathan since we have stopped the juice. Potty training will be less messy now.

Nathan will return to his doctor in three months to further discuss his speech issues. We need to decide if we want to switch Nathan to private therapy.

Nathan is 18 Months!!!!

Nathan is 18 months today. He had his check up yesterday. He weighs 21 pounds 8 ounces, which puts him in the 5 to 10 percentile for weight. He is in the 25 to 50 percentile for height at 32 inches. Nathan has been walking for a couple of weeks. He has been walking all over the house and outside in the back yard. He can't wait for Spring to come so we can spend more time outside.

15 Month Check Up

Nathan visited his doctor today for his 15 month check up. He weighs 20 pounds 13 ounces and is in the 10th percentile. He is 30 inches tall, which puts him in the 25th percentile. We thought he was done catching up, but to our surprise he did a little bit more over the past three months. Nathan is now on table food for all three meals. He is down to one bottle before bedtime, but that will only last until we run out of formula. (Mommy will be very happy to give up bottle washing!) Nathan is cruising all over the furniture. He hasn't taken his first steps, yet, but he walks all over the house with the assistance of his Tonka truck.

1 Year Check Up

Nathan visited his doctor today for his one year check up. He weighs 19 pounds and is in the 5th percentile. He is 29 1/4 inches tall, which puts him in the 50th percentile. His doctor feels that he has done all the catching up that he will do on weight and height. With that said, he will still remain on formula until his next appointment in November. We were told to start moving him to table food and be off of baby food by his next appointment. Nathan received three immunizations today, including his chicken pox and measles. Those shots are making him a very grumpy and crabby baby today. Mommy and Daddy are taking turns holding him and calming him down.

How Much Do I Weigh?

Nathan is almost 19 pounds. He knows how to make the scale beep and likes to watch the numbers light up.

17 POUNDS

Nathan is now 17 pounds. His weight gain is slowing down. He doesn't seem to pack on the pounds like he use to.

9 Month Check Up

We went for Nathan's 9 month check up today. He weighs 15 pounds, 14 ounces. He is 26 inches tall. Nathan has been eating 3 containers of baby food, 6 tablespoons of cereal and 20 ounces of breastmilk a day. He is doing excellent and his doctor is very happy with his progress. We will return to the doctor for Nathan's 1 year check up in August.

15 POUNDS!!

Nathan is now 15 pounds. He loves to eat baby food. He's like a little bird when I feed him. He opens his mouth and will make little noises until I fill it up with baby food. Sometimes I can't shovel it in fast enough for him.

6 Month Check Up

We went for Nathan's 6 month check up today. He passed with flying colors. For his actual age, he is in the 3rd percentile. We have finally made it on the chart. For his adjusted age, he is in the 50th percentile. He weighs 13 pounds, 2 ounces. He is 23 1/2 inches tall.

We have been given the go ahead to start him on some cereal once a day. We will see what he thinks of that and decide if he is ready for it or not.

Almost 12 Pounds

Nathan weighs 11.8 pounds. He is currently wearing size 0 - 3 months. I can't believe he has finally grown out of his newborn clothes. They will now have to join his preemie clothes in the closet.

10 POUNDS!!!

Nathan is now 10 pounds. He has come a long way from his birth weight of 2 pounds 4 ounces.
