We finally have our pool fence. We have been waiting several weeks for it to be installed. Now Nathan is able to play outside and not have Mommy and Daddy chasing after him. We decided to block off the pool and side yard instead of going all around the pool. It leaves the center grassy area, patio and the driveway for play.
The fence has a self-closing gate that can be locked. It allows easy and fast access to the pool area. The fence is also removable. We can take down a single section or the whole fence within a couple of minutes.
We went to the KidKraft warehouse sale this morning. We got Nathan a toddler table with two chairs for the kitchen. We also got a Lego/activity table and some wooden blocks.
Nathan wanted to eat dinner at his new table tonight. He did really great until the very end. He started to get squirmy and fell off the chair. He is not use to sitting in a chair without being strapped in. We will have to watch him carefully until he gets the hang of it.
Saturday night, I placed Nathan in his playroom for a few minutes of playtime before he went to bed. Shortly after that, we heard lots of giggling and laughing, so we both went over to see what was going on. This went on for well over 5 minutes. It ended with Nathan coughing from all the laughing and Twister just wanted out. It just tickles my heart. Enjoy!
Nathan loves to play with his dog, Twister. He also likes to climb in Twister's bed and play with Twister's toys. Twister is very patient and kind with Nathan. He will lay still while Nathan pats and grabs him. They are great friends.
Nathan enjoyed celebrating his first 4th of July. We had the whole family over for swimming, hamburgers and fireworks. Nathan missed the fireworks because he ran out of energy and had to go to bed. He won't miss them next year.
Chillin' in the pool with his new sunglasses
Playing in the baby pool with his cousins, Jaxon and Jessie
Relaxing on the couch with Twister and Cousin Jordan
It was such a beautiful day that we decided to take Nathan and Twister to Josey Ranch Park. It's very close to our house. It has two duck ponds, baseball and football fields, playgrounds, the library and senior center.
