This was filmed August 15th. Randy was asking Nathan were his body parts were. He got them all correct!

Frontiers of Flight Museum
We took advantage of the free museum day sponsored by the Smithsonian. We went to the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field. The best part about the museum was play area. Nathan loved running around and playing with everything. I enjoyed watching him play.

Game Boy - Tetris
Nathan has started to play Game Boy. His favorite game is Tetris. He is actually quite good. He just pushes the buttons and doesn't know what he is doing. It keeps his attention for a long time.
He started playing Game Boy on our trip to Galveston. He played it in the car on the way home.
Concentrating on the game.
Lounging on our bed.

DFW Founders Plaza
The new DFW Founders Plaza opened this weekend. You can watch the airplanes take off and land on the north side of the airport. We went this morning to check it out. Nathan was ready with his airplane shirt and he brought his two metal airplanes.

Nathan liked seeing the airplanes up close.

Teddy Bear Pile-Up
"Teddy Bear Pile-Up" is a special game that Daddy and Nathan play together. They usually play it after Nathan's bath before he goes to bed. Nathan loves to be hidden under all his teddy bears. They play this several times before gets in his bed.
Where's Nathan?
I think I see him.
All the teddy bears are moving.
Oh . . .
. . . there he is!

Heading Home
We packed up and said "Good-Bye" to Galveston this morning. We had a great visit and plan on coming back again. Hopefully Hurricane Ike will not blow it away and we will be able to return soon. Our condo worked out perfectly for us.
You walk into the front door and you enter into the hallway. To your right is the . . .
. . . master bedroom with a king sized bed. We had just enough room to fit Nathan's pack n' play next to the bed. Further down the hallway is . . .
. . . a closet and some built in bunk beds. We used these for storage. The bathroom is further on the right. Continue down the hallway and enter the . . .
. . . great room. It had a table and chairs.
The kitchen is on the right with everything that you need to make a meal. It had a pull out couch and . . .
. . . TV.
This was our view and balcony.
On our way home, we stopped at the Johnson Space Center. (no photos) We enjoyed it the best we could with a tired out 2 year old. They have several movies which Nathan would not sit still for. We also skipped the tram ride because it was 1 1/2 hours long and we would not have been able to keep Nathan in his seat for that long. We will have to come back when Nathan is a little older and can enjoy more of the activities.
We ate lunch at the Space Center and then headed home. Nathan was awake the entire trip and kicked the back of my chair the whole time. He was well entertained by reading books, playing Game Boy, playing with his birthday monkey and a spaceship that Daddy bought him in the gift shop. We are very thankful that we didn't run into any traffic until we got to downtown Dallas.
Nathan did great for a traveling 2 year old. He had a couple of meltdowns during the trip, but overall I think he had a great time. He was happy to get home and play with his toys. He missed them all and couldn't decide which toys to play with first. I put him to bed at 8PM and we didn't hear from him again that night. He was tired out and glad to be in his own bed.
I'm ready to start planning our next family vacation!!

Galveston Railroad Museum
This morning we headed over to the Galveston Railroad Museum. It started to sprinkle on us, but we didn't let it stop our fun. Nathan enjoyed the model trains and climbing in and out of all the rail cars.

Nathan is happy that we left the stroller in the car and he can run around the museum.
This was Nathan's favorite model train. After it ran for awhile, the lights turned out and the train and houses lit up. There were also glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling.
The train depot had a wooden train set for the kids to play with. Nathan zeroed in on it the second we walked through the doors. It gave Mom and Dad a chance to walk around and enjoy all the exhibits.
