Nathan celebrated his birthday with his friends at the Wiggle Play Center. He enjoyed playing with his friends and cousins in the bounce house, down the slide and climbing on the playground.
With the start of a new season, Nathan is beginning another session at the Little Gym as a Funny Bug. Nathan has been taking classes at the Little Gym for the past year and a half. He enjoys running around and climbing on the equipment. Mommy loves the fact that Nathan can have an outlet to help him release his energy.
We received sad news at the beginning of the summer session that the Carrollton Little Gym was closing. Nathan had been with the same teacher, Mr. Jason, since he started there and we were really going to miss him. So, we transfered to the Plano location to finish out the summer session. The Plano Little Gym welcomed us with open arms. Nathan quickly attached to his new teacher, Mr. Travis.
Nathan attended his first class of the Fall semester as a Funny Bug today and has a new teacher, Mr. Zack. There are a few changes that go along with graduating to the Funny Bug level. Nathan has to go to class all my himself. Mommy gets to sit in the lobby and watch through the windows. Nathan has to pay attention and follow Mr. Zack's directions. Nathan did an excellent job for his first class. Mommy was so proud of him. He only ran off three times during his hour class and returned quickly when Mr. Zack called him back.
These are some photos that I took during Nathan's last class of the summer session as a Super Beast with his teacher Mr. Travis.
Nathan's favorite activity at the Little Gym, jumping on the air track.
Nathan doing a backward roll on the air track with assistance from Mr. Travis.
Hanging on the bars like a monkey.
Riding the donut with Mr. Travis.
Climbing and Jumping
Walking the balance beam.
"Mom, don't make me lose my concentration!"
We end every class with popping bubbles and playing with balls.
Nathan woke up at 6:30AM this morning. After making breakfast in the kitchen, I found Nathan quietly sitting on the balcony. He was taking in his last day on the beach.
National Naval Aviation Museum
We got a tip from my sister that we needed to visit this museum. It's at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola. It is the home of the Blue Angels. It was an hour and a half drive from our condo, but well worth it.
There were several airplanes that you could climb in and sit in the cock pits. Nathan loved this part.
Nathan's favorite part was the 1/2 USS Kiddie Hawk, a play area for kids. The three story play structure resembled an air craft carrier. Here he is raising the flag.
Looking through the spy glass.
Nathan and a 1943 airplane.

Nathan climbing in more cock pits. He liked looking at all the gages and flipping all the switches.

Blue Angels
We ate lunch in the museum at the Authentic Cubi Bar Cafe. Then, we played one last time on the Little Kid's Carrier before we left.
Last Time on the Beach
Lollipops . . . Nathan's current addiction.
Building more sand castles. I don't have any photos of the sand castles because Nathan likes to "crunch" them quickly.
Nathan really enjoyed jumping the waves and getting smacked around by them.
Nathan woke up early this morning, so we put our swimsuits on and hit the beach. We were down there before 8AM.
Baby Baywatch
Do you think we have enough sand toys? We walked by a family at our condo packing up their car and they didn't want to take their sand toys home. So, they offered them to us. We have now doubled our sand toys.

Nathan and Mommy
We haven't been on the beach an hour and he is already getting tired.
It's now 8AM and the chair guy set up the umbrellas and chairs. I like when they are first set up and are all in a row down the beach.
Nathan just loves playing on the beach.
Here's the view from our condo from the balcony. We had to go back in so Daddy could take his nap.
After everyone was well rested, we hit the beach again to build sandcastles.
Bird Chasing
Almost got it!
Oh . . . it got away.
That bird came back to get Nathan.
Nathan had fun playing in the waves this evening. He tired himself out and fell asleep at 7:30PM. We didn't have the heart to wake him back up. I just hope he doesn't wake up at 5AM.
